DEDICATED, DETERMINED, DEPENDABLE DEBBIE!

Some people seem to have been born strong; they have a tenacity and determination

that demands exercise and commands lifelong challenge. Debbie Ginocchio is such a

person.

The Georgia Veterans Network is honored to recognize Debbie Ginocchio as an inaugural Heart for Georgia Veterans award recipient.

Debbie has always been an inspirational and motivational leader, which has resulted in a successful career in the restaurant industry for 17 years. Her passion for creating leaders has benefited several companies, including McDonald's, Krystals, Aramark, and Primerica.

At the young age of 18, Debbie became the youngest store manager, then the area manager in

McDonald’s history. She helped turn low-graded restaurants into record-performing outlets.

Debbie accomplished similar achievements with Krystals and Aramark until doctors

discovered she had a large brain tumor, which, when removed, left Debbie blind in one eye

and only 75% vision in the other. The food industry considered her a potential liability, resulting in Debbie having to make significant changes in her life.

Never losing sight of her personal goals, Debbie was determined to help others rise above

whatever life’s obstacles they had to endure. Debbie transitioned into the financial services

industry where she shined. After getting her securities and insurance licenses, Debbie’spassion for educating others about the basics of money became evident, and she won many

industry awards in her 21-year career.

Debbie Ginocchio

Debbie has brought her personal and professional achievements full circle to Sweetwater Mission. Over the last seven years, it has been an incredible match made in heaven for Debbie and all the lives she has touched in this empowering non-profit organization.

Debbie has worked aggressively to increase fundraising from $50,000 to over $1,200,000 for the first time in Sweetwater Mission's 50-year history.

Establishing strong relationships with major businesses, civic leaders, and first responders in the surrounding area while initiating powerful new ideas has served more families, including Veterans. Debbie orchestrated the delivery of over 300,000 pounds of food to be given to Veterans in need at We CARE Vet Fairs since 2022!

For her continuing accomplishments in the community, Debbie earned “The Citizen of the

Year” award presented by Cobb Precinct 2. 2023 Woman of the Year by Live Safe.

Debbie now serves on the board of the South Cobb Rotary Club, is a Chairman’s Club member for the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce, is President of the South Cobb Business Association, and is a member of the Douglas Chamber of Commerce as well as the business associations in Marietta, Austell, and Kennesaw.

Debbie’s reputation for being dedicated, determined, and dependable is evident while her

integrity and work ethic are second to none.
