Jan Apo is a warrior in the true sense of the word. Following 31 years of leadership serving in

the United States Army, Jan joined MUST Ministries in 2018, rising to the Permanent Supportive Housing Director in 2019. In addition to her formal military service and civilian career, Jan volunteered as a Mentor with the Cobb County Veterans Accountability Court for three years. Daily, Jan works with and advocates for Veterans experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges.

Colonel Jan F. Apo was born and raised in Michigan. She graduated from Central Michigan University in May 1988 and served concurrently in the United States Army Reserve during college. Upon entering active duty in 1988, she was detailed as a Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery and then transitioned to the Military Police Corps in 1990. During her 31 years of service Colonel Apo has served in a variety of assignments primarily in the operating force. She has supported combat operations in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Colonel Apo has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University, a Master of Arts Degree in International Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and a Master of Strategic Studies Degree from the Army War College.
